The minimum education requirement for auditors is an undergraduate degree in accounting. Additional licensure is also encouraged and in some cases, mandated. This can be either a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certificate. A master’s degree in accounting or another related field is an added advantage.
